You will play a key role within the wider IT group and deliver the product vision across complex multi-platform environments. Working closely with other designers across multi-disciplinary teams you'll ensure the products we develop are scalable, adaptable and ultimately improve the wellbeing of NZ's vulnerable citizens.

So what are we looking for?

  • Someone with a social conscience committed to providing creative solutions for our clients
  • It is desirable if you have experience of working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and DevOps
  • A strong team player who takes pride and ownership of their work
  • A self-starter/ completer
  • Excellent development experience in Java / J2EE
  • Experience with Web application servers and Messaging service would be an advantage
  • Experience with Unix/Linux/Solaris would be an advantage

What's in it for you?

  • Unparalleled scale and scope of complex projects you won't see elsewhere
  • Fantastic modern offices in Wellingtons CBD

Our fast-paced and supportive environment offers you scope to work on high profile, complex projects, a competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, opportunities for training and development, plus a great bunch of people to work with. This is a challenging role that will deliver great rewards to the right person. It's an exciting time to work at the Ministry as we move forward at an ever increasing pace towards a full SAFe & DevOps implementation.
