Ministerial and Executive Services Advisor

About the Role
 

We are looking for a permanent Advisor to join our Official and Parliamentary Information (OPI) team. You will be responsible for analysis and advice on, and management of requests, correspondence, issues and ministerial responses and executive services processes.
 
The role will give you an opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the Ministry, Parliament and its business and functions. 
 
Skills and Experience
 

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • good knowledge of New Zealand Parliament and government structures and processes
  • great relationship management skills
  • enjoy working with complex issues
  • the ability to explain your thinking clearly in conversations and in writing
  • strong client focus and prioritisation skills.

 

Most importantly, you will have a great work ethic, attitude and be a team player.

About our Team

 

This is a busy team, assisting our Ministers and Chief Executive to respond to public interest in the Ministry's activities.  Our work includes providing advice in response to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary and select committee questions. 

 

We are highly motivated and focused on providing quality and timely service to all of our stakeholders - Ministers, ministry staff, media and general public.
