Job Description

Customer Service Representatives - Based in Lower Hutt Permanent, Full Time  

 

This role is to work in a new Ministry initiative where you are working for two MSD Contact Centres who have different peak periods. This means that you will work with StudyLink clients for six months of the year, and with Seniors clients for the other six months of the year. The initial season will be with StudyLink from October-March 2019/2020 and then onto Seniors peak season from March-September 2020.

About the Role
 
Although you will be part of a team, you will work as an individual to quickly build rapport with a diverse range of people over the phone including those in vulnerable situations who need advice, information and urgent assistance. In line with legislation and policy you will respond to client requests with empathy and kindness. We support our clients to help themselves with online access.  

 

You will be required to navigate multiple systems, therefore your skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly are important.   The Contact Centres work in an integrated model supporting other contact centre units within the Ministry of Social Development.  Flexibility and the willingness to adapt and learn other processes is requiredFuture training will be provided to enable you to assist these other areas of the Ministry.
