Job Description

The TEC - Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua is a small Crown agency with a big job to do – ensuring New Zealanders have the skills and the knowledge they need to ensure lifelong success to build a great country. We lead the Government's relationship with the tertiary education sector in New Zealand and provide career services from education to employment.

We are looking for a Business Coordinator to join the Business Management team within the Information Directorate. The Business Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the Information Services Group business plan and work programme is up-to-date and visible to the Group whilst offering administrative support amongst other things.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring that the Information Services business plan and work programme is up-to-date and visible to the team.
  • Ensuring that the Information Services data warehouse deployment schedule captures all required deployments and is ready to be presented at CAB.
  • Monitoring and triaging information requests in relation to OIAs, Ministerials, PQs and Tertiary Education Organisation performance measures.

  • Data savviness. Knowing what data is appropriate for a particular purpose; being able to interpret data visualisations such as graphs and charts and an ability to think critically about information gathered by data analysis
  • Strong analytical thinking, practical and pragmatic approach to solving problems and delivering solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work well and collaborate with others, building trusted relationships and influencing
