Regional Labour Market Manager – Northland

Permanent, Full Time

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a recruitment or business development professional to take the next step in their career in one of New Zealand's fastest growing regions known for its beauty and liveability, and proximity to Auckland.

 

Reporting to the Regional Commissioner Northland, the Regional Labour Market Manager is responsible for identifying proactive labour market strategies to meet the workforce requirements of Northland industries. This is a fast paced role that involves working with an energetic team, a wide range of employers, industry sectors, business associations and government agencies. It also involves working on major provincial development initiatives. 

 

You will be a natural influencer with a nose for opportunity, and use data and information to inform your approach and success. Your ability to gather and analyse labour market intelligence will help you shape strategies, plans and agreements, and evaluate the impact of initiatives. This role has a strong link to delivery teams in regard to account management activities, and will also have responsibility for the implementation of national employment initiatives and campaigns, and regular labour market reporting.

Requirements

 

  • A solid track record of success in recruitment or business development
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound business acumen, with the ability to hunt out and secure new opportunities
  • Full clean driver's licence
  • Qualification in business or other relevant qualification is highly desirable.
