Senior Advisor Health and Safety, Permanent, Full time, Wellington

Our broad-reaching services present a number of opportunities and challenges for health, safety and security and needs a highly effective and creative advisory function, so all staff and clients have access to a safe and secure working environment.

 

As the Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will be the subject matter expert on all aspects of health and safety, as well lead the design, development and implementation of policies and strategies to ensure they are relevant, fit-for-purpose, and effective. You will be the person the Regional HSS Advisors and MSD managers will come to when they need specialist advice or guidance. You will also be responsible for overseeing health and safety compliance and education.

 

You will take ownership for designing, developing and implementing health and safety tools and frameworks, implementing measures, and assisting in the development of health and safety programmes for all staff. 

 

There will be numerous opportunities for innovation and improvement, but your success will depend on your relationship-building skills and your ability to influence across the organisation. You will have credibility as a health and safety practitioner, ideally with relevant tertiary qualifications, and have good organizational and project management skills.
