Case Manager Housing – Hawera or Whanganui

 

Permanent, Full Time
 

We're hiring people who are dependable to their core and who have the grit and tenacity to show up and work hard even when the going is tough.  Our organisation plays an important role in supporting New Zealanders.  Simply put, people count on us.  We have an opportunity for a Case Manager Housing to join our Taranaki team on a permanent basis.  This role can be based in either Hawera or Whanganui.

About the role

The role of the Case Manager Housing is a phone-based role, to support people who are looking for help to secure affordable and stable housing which can lead to outcomes in a number of other areas such as employment and health.

 

What skills do I need to be a Case Manager Housing?

You need to be able to work at pace and make good decisions, often in isolation.  Strong relationship and negotiation skills are essential and you can motivate and empower others to overcome barriers in a non-judgmental way.  You are comfortable working in a fast paced, pressured environment and enjoy navigating through unexpected challenges.  You have experience identifying and assessing housing needs and a good handle on the local housing market in terms of opportunities, demands and issues.

  • Salary starting at $47,622 per annum (effective 1 November 2019, in line with skills and experience).
