Job Description

Social Worker, Care & Protection - Palmerston North

 

In order to make positive changes in the lives of children and families in our community, we need people like you who have knowledge, experience and are passionate about the wellbeing of children.

 

We are currently looking for a permanent full-time qualified Social Worker to join our passionate team at our Palmerston North site. In this fast paced role, you will work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  •   A qualification in social work recognised by the social work registration board
  •   SWRB registration with current APC (or working towards gaining registration)
  •   Excellent written & oral communication skills
  •   Demonstrated resilience, problem solving techniques & flexibility
  •   Excellent time management & organisational skills
  •   Strong PC & Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing and written communication skills
  •   Full current driver's licence
