Service Centre Manager – Housing
Wellington Region - Te Whanganui a Tara

 

Permanent, full time

 

Reporting to the Regional Director, the role of the Manager - Housing is to provide effective leadership and efficient management of services that contribute to individual, family and community independence. In short, our role is to support our clients in finding ‘ a place to call home'. 

 

About you

 

Your welcoming approach and Manāakitanga with our people will enable you to understand how to best lead the Housing team across the Wellington Region and our 8 Service Centres. 

 

You will be a proven change leader - at a strategic and operational level, as you will be responsible for leading the successful implementation of Regional and National initiatives that achieve successful outcomes. This is a high-profile position which interacts with our leadership team, Ministers, other government agencies, media etc. You will need to be an innovative and inspirational leader who can embed an outcomes focussed culture within a busy service delivery environment. Ideally you will have existing community connections which will facilitate future conversations and information sharing. 

 

You will be someone who can motivate, coach, encourage and inspire your team to excel. Your ability to establish credibility and manage relationships across diverse internal and external audiences will be evidenced in previous roles.

What we offer

 

Remuneration for this role is from $85,749.00 to $128,623.00. Application along this salary scale is dependent on relevant leadership experience and evidenced skills.

 

Due to portfolio coverage of the Wellington region, a willingness to travel to fulfil job requirements and a current full New Zealand licence without restrictions is required.
