Job Description

Senior Solution Architect - MSD Digital


The Digital team support and enhance MSD's digital platforms which include: Master data Management platform which is used to support our digital channels being ‘always on' by providing an online data cache that is independent of core online transactional systems; an API platform for partners to consume data from MSD's core systems; the BPM and ODM platform to support business process automation and business rules management.


Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the design & development of the end to end Solution Architecture for Digital Platforms
  • Enable SDLC using SAFe framework in alignment of Agile, Lean and DevOps principles
  • Align Digital products/services to the related standards and patterns from the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) and MSD enterprise architecture
  • Develop Solution Options papers and solution designs that meet MSD's architecture principles and align to MSD's IT strategy
  • Provide input to Security Risk Assessments
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps for each digital platform working closely with key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively to increase the capability maturity within the digital platform teams

 

Skills and Experience

  • Over 5 years' experience developing and implementing architectures that are compliant with NZ Government Security Frameworks (e.g. NZISM, PSR)
  • Related technical expertise in networking, database (Oracle plus others an advantage), API gateways, API design and implementation, integration patterns (SOAP, Rest), process automation platforms
  • Ability to lead, self-manage, and make technical decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, courageous
  • Previous experience working in NZ Government is an advantage
  • Experience in Agile or SAFe methods
