Programme Advisor IT Planning and Investment


6 Month Fixed Term Contract


We are looking for an experienced Programme Advisor to join the IT Performance and Risk group, to support the IT Planning and Investment capabilities of cost transparency modelling, financial planning and asset management.


The role involves providing financial and asset management advice including operation and administration of a cost modelling tool.  The role also involves ensuring models and plans integrate with IT and ministry-wide plans, asset management and asset standards.  The position will see you develop short term and long term plans for asset management and replacement.


As well as developing cost transparency and asset management content, you will manage and respond to internal and external audits, OIA's and Select Committee questions, and the Treasury's Investor Confidence Rating maturity assessments.


Responsibilities of the role include:


  • Design and review of asset management plans
  • Coordinating IT Financial planning processes such as participation in the annual Integrated Planning and Budgeting (IPB) process, refreshing the annual IT Capital Plan, Four Year Plan and Long Term Investment Plan (LTIP)
  • Ensuring alignment of financial plans with IT's Asset Management Plans.


To be successful in the role you will have:


  • Demonstrable experience of implementing best practice standards for cost transparency and asset management frameworks
  • Knowledge and experienced of financial planning and asset management
  • Strong contract, financial and SLA knowledge
  • Experience in the Information Technology services environment, ideally with some financial management experience
