Salary Range: $49,158.00 - $66,507.00

The New Zealand Police, National Road Policing Centre (NRPC) is seeking to appoint a management assistant to support the delivery of the ongoing Road Safety Partnership Programme. Reporting to the National Manager, the Management Assistant is an integral part of the NRPC, providing administrative and management assistant services to the NRPC Governance Group.

 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strong administrative and communication abilities, and will be able to work closely and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including NRPC staff, Executive Assistants, and road safety partner agencies.

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Recording and preparing minutes for distribution
  • Managing diaries
  • Planning and organising events
  • Using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) to develop a high standard of reports/presentations
  • Managing time effectively to deliver multiple tasks
  • Managing competing demands and high workload at times
  • Ability to adapt style or approach to the individual and situation
  • Ability to develop collaborative partnerships with other National Manager and District/Headquarters support staff

 

 

You will also have the following experience:

  • Experience in planning meetings, workshops, and conferences, preparing agendas etc.
  • Monitoring and following up on actions arising from governance meetings and ensuring status updates are prepared for the next meeting
  • Experience in preparing regular reports, especially where reports from different groups need to be collated and presented coherently
  • Experience in preparing correspondence for Official Information Act Requests would be an advantage
