Expressions of interest are being sought from Mental Health Assistants to work across all areas of inpatient mental health.
About the role / About you
You will be working across the Mental Health and Intellectual Disability inpatient wards by supporting the provision of care in a range of areas. We seek enthusiastic Mental Health Assistants to join our team, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.
Our Mental Health Assistants are key team members who assist our nursing and allied health staff to ensure an effective and efficient service. As an assistant working in mental health you'll need to have a positive attitude and good communication skills, be able to take direction and work well as part of the team. Our ideal applicant will be confident in providing support and assistance; display initiative; be patient focused at all times; be able to adapt to a changing environment and have computer literacy. A knowledge of Te Reo Maori would also be advantageous. Full training and support will be offered to those who are new to mental health.
Applicants should also note that a full driver's licence is a requirement for this position.
