Senior Java Developer – Client Self-Service
You will play a key role within the wider IT group and deliver the product vision across complex multi-platform environments. Working closely with other developers across multi-disciplinary teams you'll ensure the products we develop are scalable, adaptable and ultimately improve the wellbeing of NZ's vulnerable citizens.
You should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, and possess excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch senior developer should have extensive experience in software development, have strong analytical skills, and have experience coaching and mentoring other developers.
MSD has adopted scaled agile (SAFe) across the organisation.
We're looking for someone who:
• Has experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and DevOps and is willing to work as part of an Agile Scrum team
• Is a strong team player who takes pride and ownership of their work
• Is a self-starter/ completer
• Experience in coaching and mentoring less experienced developers
• Has excellent development experience in Java11 using SpringFramework with Apache Camel
• Has experience with Git and Tomcat
• Has experience with NoSQL database CouchDB, Linux systems, Confluence, Maven and Jenkins
• Is able to build relationship with stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Is able to work after-hours if required

Salary range: $97,374.00 - $119,012.00
