About our Team
We support the Ministry's managers and staff to put health, safety and security at the heart of everything we do. We lead the development of HSS strategy and operational policy and do work that supports and strengthens the Ministry's HSS culture.
About the Role
This is a varied and exciting role where you will get to use your data analytics expertise and HSS knowledge in your everyday work. You will have a unique opportunity to contribute and deliver innovative technical solutions that will enhance security practices and keep our people safe.
Your experience in data analytics and dashboarding will provide key insights into our ministry's operating model and help us be better at what we do. As part of a large, complex organization, you will be great at building relationships across teams and gain great exposure to advanced analytics methodologies and risk analytics.

What You Will Bring to the Role?
- Experience in research and evaluation methodologies, including a demonstrated ability to use Python/R in data analysis
- Proven successful experience in data visualization using BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik) for statistical analysis
- Excellent communication skills, particularly strong data storytelling techniques and ability to articulate technical information in plain English
- Knowledge of risk management methodologies and best practice
- A good understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with peers and other key stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
