Based at New Plymouth Regional Office - Permanent Full time Position
We an opportunity for an administrator to join our team to provide support to our Service Centres. It is an important role, delivering high quality, efficient and proactive administrative support to the Regional office and the Manager - Regional Employment and the wider teams across the region.
About the role
In this busy and varied role you are responsible for fleet management, maintaining office and stationery supplies, maintaining registers, leave and attendance records, arranging for equipment servicing, building issues, coordinating reviews, supporting the Work Services team, official information act/privacy act requests and other adhoc duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the office.
You are also responsible for working with Regional office staff to ensure that all Visitors and Contractors to the office are inducted correctly into the office, maintaining health and Safety standards is a big focus.
About you
You are a team player who works well under pressure. A busy environment is where you thrive and you pride yourself on delivering customer service. No task is too big or too small, you take everything in your stride and get things done.
You have:
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
- Proven expertise supporting a team in an administrative capacity
- Experience maintaining and improving office systems
- Exceptional relationship building skills – you enjoy meeting people from varied backgrounds
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and an effective team player
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills and can work with tight timeframes
- Resilience and are able to stay calm under pressure and utilise effective problem solving skills
- Restricted NZ Driver's Licence and ability to drive Ministry vehicles as required.
