Kaikohe Community Link - Full Time, Permanent Position

An opportunity exists in the Prisoner Reintegration Team for an existing Case Manager.  If successful, you will report to the Kaikohe Community Link. 

This is a challenging, exciting and rewarding role that primarily focuses on working with Department of Corrections staff and stake holders, streamlining the reintegration process for clients, and providing support where significant barriers exist.

The Prisoner Reintegration Case Manager will work closely with clients and external stakeholders to assist with the below responsibilities:

• Proactive case management of clients, providing assistance with employment and/or training, prior to the client's release.
• Providing in-work support for clients post release.
• Assisting clients with information on Work and Income products and services and supporting clients to apply where entitlement exists.  This includes Steps to Freedom payments prior to release, where applicable.
• Providing verification of inmate trust account balances to assist with the processing of Steps to Freedom payments.
• Advising regions of inmate release details in advance.
• Assisting clients to make appointments with service centres as required.
    

We are seeking an enthusiastic person who will have the ability to build strong networks and have excellent communication skills, being adaptable and flexible in your approach to dealing with different people from a variety of backgrounds.

Salary range: $61,734.00 - $75,452.00

The starting salary for this role  per annum in line with proven skills, experience and performance.
