About the DCE Office 

The DCE's Office advocates Māori, Communities and Partnerships (MCP) position through strategic, credible and effective stakeholder relationships.  It ensures that the DCE's workflow and responsibilities are proactively managed to ensure the timely coordination and delivery of MCP's work programme and key deliverables. The Office contributes to delivering services that ensure MCP fulfils the Statement of Intent and key performance indicators accountabilities.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of the DCE Office, the Principal Advisor you will provide high level strategic advice, thought leadership and technical expertise. You will ensure effective advice, engagement, and insights are incorporated into policy, operational guidelines, investment, procurement and funding plans that will support the MCP Work programme.


About You 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive and demonstrated ability in building effective relationships and working collaboratively at all levels with senior management, peers and key stakeholders. 
  • Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to write well and provide robust advice and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing strategic advice for senior management.
  • Organisational agility with political savvy to be able to influence without direct management control.
  • Proven experience in service design.

Salary range: $109,999.00 - $164,999.00
