We are looking for an executive assistant superstar to provide high quality support to the General Manager Maori Partnerships and Programmes
About the team
The Partnerships and Programmes team focuses on building strong and resilient communities using a range of prevention and community development approaches which lead to sustainable and long term outcomes for whānau, communities and whole of populations.
The team work to the Ministry's Statement of Intent, which is underpinned by three key shifts, which we collectively refer to as Te Pae Tawhiti – Our Future. Te Pae Tawhiti signals the Ministry's strategic direction and the organisational shifts needed to achieve better outcomes for all New Zealanders.

About this role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant who understands what it's like working in a busy, dynamic and complex environment to support these aspirations of Te Pae Tawhiti. Reporting to the General Manager Maori Partnerships and Programmes, which sits within Māori, Communities and Partnerships Group, you'll provide a full range of executive support services where your days are varied and the team are fun and exciting.
About you
This opportunity will suit a self-managing professional who is comfortable juggling multiple deadlines, across multiple managers and easily build rapport. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written along with a “can do” attitude and sense of humour, will really make you stand out in this role.
Your primary focus will be to provide daily organising and time management and prepare documentation for the General Manager, as well as organise internal and external stakeholder meetings for the wider team. Whether you're arranging travel bookings or attending stakeholder meetings, you'll do it all with your natural flair and unflappable manner.
To succeed in this role, an understanding and commitment of aspects in Te Ao Māori will be of great benefit in working in this team. You will no doubt have worked with senior leaders, be proficient across the suite of Microsoft products and not be afraid to try new ways of working. Position Description
Salary range: $62,660.00 - $76,585.00
MSD has a COVID-19 vaccination policy which requires employees to be fully vaccinated prior to 1 September 2022.
