Domain Specialist L2 - Commercial Property Specialist

In this Wellington based role you will support the successful management of IR's property portfolio using your relationship building, negotiation and organisational skills.

Ara Whiwhi Mahi - The opportunity

The Commercial Services and Strategic Property team ensures that IR gets the best value from its property, commercial and supplier relationships whilst displaying integrity and transparency in the way we procure products, services, and solutions. We manage IR's property portfolio and commercial relationship to best accommodate our organisation and reflect our flexible working principles.

We are looking for someone with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships, the curiosity to ask questions and the confidence to use initiative.We need someone with a deep understanding of leasing and commercial partnerships and experience managing both internal and external stakeholders.

We are a collaborative, passionate and energetic team so need someone with the same commitment to deliver. With your excellent attention to detail, ability to work closely with commercial partners and appetite for success, you will quickly establish yourself as a key member of ourteam.

Mōu - About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • proven experience in negotiating all aspects of leases, including new leases, rental reviews, renewals, day to day leasing issues/dispute resolution
  • the ability to build and maintain extensive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial partnerships
  • confidence in taking initiative which enables you to support the wider Commercial Property team to optimise the operation of our supplier management framework
  • an understanding of relevant commercial property legislation, and legal and regulatory requirements.
