Senior Advisor Security

Our Senior Advisor Security is responsible for the entire security eco-system and assisting in the design, development and implementation of sound strategies, policies, standards and measures for the Ministry in the Service Centres for the Future project.
The Senior Advisory Security position we are seeking to fill is a fixed term role that operates as a key team member in the Service Centres for the Future Project team that is responsible for the delivery of a security fit-out to Work and Income service centres nationwide.
The job description reflects overall responsibilities for a generic role however, the critical functions that the Senior Advisor Security performs as part of the project are:
- Act as the project teams key subject matter expert for physical and personnel security and provide technical expertise and advisory services in relation to the service centres refurbishment.
- Review all concept and detailed design packages against the Ministry's security framework and provide expert advice
- Review and accept the electronic security design plans provided by the Ministry's electronic security supplier
- Visit service centres on completion of the service centre refurbishment and carry out compliance checks and certification
- Work with the electronic security supplier to remedy any defects in a timely manner
It is expected that you will maintain your knowledge and expertise on relevant global best practice security and information systems. There will be numerous opportunities for innovation and improvement, but your success will depend on your relationship-building skills and your ability to influence the outcomes of the Service Centres for the Future project.
You will have credibility as a security practitioner, ideally with relevant tertiary qualifications (and/or equivalent experience) and have proven knowledge of risk management methodologies and current legislation relating to security.
Experience in working collaboratively within a project team environment and to tight deadlines is sought.
Salary range: $95,546.00 - $116,778.00
