The National Contracts Team facilitate the administration and contract management of a range of social services aimed at improving outcomes for New Zealanders. The team and the services they support are spread throughout the country.
National Contracts Advisors provide advice and support to internal and external stakeholders regarding the management of government contracts.
You will be involved in service development, contract management, making payments and reporting on outcomes.
To be successful in the role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Strong communication and excellent relationship management skills.
- Understanding of contract management practice and procedures within government agencies and particularly Social Services.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience in contract establishment, monitoring, maintenance and improvements.
- Knowledge of the employment support sector is an advantage.
- You will have the opportunity to work autonomously and have the support of a friendly team. A methodical approach and a high degree of accuracy will see you excel in the role.

This provides valuable opportunities to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, such as MSD's regional teams, other government agencies, and providers across New Zealand delivering life-changing services for Māori, Pacific, youth, people with disabilities and other communities.

Position Description
Salary range: $71,943.00 - $87,931.00
