Permanent and fixed-term opportunities for 18 months - Wellington (fixed-term opportunity also available in Christchurch)

We are seeking inquisitive and driven individuals interested in Statistical Analyst roles, ranging from graduate level to Statistical Analyst Level Two, who are passionate about telling the stories of New Zealand through data. Join our team of over 200 analysts in a range of specialist areas where you will be responsible for providing a wide range of data, and statistical products and services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • The ability to apply conceptual frameworks to interpreting data analysis through manipulation tools
  • The ability to build productive working relationships by engaging and collaborating with suppliers and customers of data, to provide excellent customer focus and improve the data and insights we produce
  • A passion to apply analytical thinking to collated data to ensure reliable and accurate results are provided to tell meaningful stories for New Zealanders
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate initiative to refine and transform processes, and explore links between data
