Programme Coordinator Public Safety Network - Fixed Term - Wellington at Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wellington - Wairarapa

Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role

The Public Safety Network (PSN) is the new communications service for New Zealand's frontline emergency services responders being rolled out from mid-2023. Fire and Emergency, Police, Hato Hone St John, and Wellington Free Ambulance will be the network's first users, and there is scope for other government agencies to join in the future.

This position focuses on providing proactive programme support to the team. A primary function of the role includes secretariat duties for the Fire and Emergency PSN Agency Project Board, Programme Financial coordination and analysis and resourcing coordination. You'll also play a key role in coordinating reporting monthly and will work closely with the programme manager.

 

This is a fixed term position start ASAP until 30 June 2027 based at NGCC Wellington.

Hit the ground running in this Fixed Term opportunity with your programme coordination experience. You will have a proactive approach and will be confident reacting to changes within a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent communication skills and will work well within a team environment.

 

To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:

  • Strong experience working in a programme or project co-ordination role in major change programmes and/or major change projects within government
  • Strong experience in managing all administrative support for various meeting forums including programme governance
  • Strong financial management skills working with programme staff and Finance personnel as required for the processing of programme financial transactions and summary spend/forecast reporting
  • Proven ability to provide secretariat support including taking detailed meeting minutes
  • Experience providing administrative support to monthly reporting
  • Extensive experience within the MS suite toolset, especially with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe and Sharepoint

 

The salary range for this role is $86,846 - $96,495 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
