Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Support Agent to join our team within the Defence Shared Services Group based in Wellington.

This is a busy role, responsible for providing effective and efficient multi-tasked shared services and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in administration roles within a customer focused and diverse service organisation, Experience using systems such as SAP, or similar is also advantageous.

Key personal skills and attributes we are looking for include:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines,
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement,
  • Experience with improving business processes/procedures,
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement with problem solving,
  • Good computer literacy skills, preference would be given to a person with solid social media skills,
  • Ability to hold and maintain a clean NZ Drivers Licence (manual and automatic).

The remuneration band for this position is $41,436 to $51,185, inclusive of a 4% employer superannuation contribution.

Please note: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand (NZ) and be able to obtain and maintain the required level of NZ Government security clearance for the position applied for. The minimum citizenship and residency criteria for security clearances to be granted by the NZ Defence Force are as follows:

Higher level Security Clearance

  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
