Repair Processor/Component Control Planner Assistant - RNZAF Base Whenuapai

In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Repair Manager and Component Control Planner. The role involves assisting with procurement and repair of aeronautical equipment, monitoring lead time of purchases, transacting external repair approvals, obtaining quotes from vendors, coordinating the repair of components by external vendors and monitoring vendor performance and turn around times.  You will also be responsible for managing the serialised asset procurement process.


Knowledge of inventory management and plant maintenance, general knowledge of aircraft maintenance/servicing terminology, and understanding of the importance of airworthiness and its implications will also be key to the role.
We are seeking someone with a good practical knowledge of SAP (or equivalent ERP system) as this drives this role; you will also need to have a good level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office. To this role you will bring a strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain management; you will be encouraged to develop ideas and solutions to problems while working within the wider team.

 

You are used to being part of a hard working and professional environment and you are self motivated enough to demonstrate a strong work ethic.

 

A large part of this role will see you liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors so it's important that you have a confident and clear communication style.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last five years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, the United Kingdom (UK) or the United States of America (USA); and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at this level.

If you do not meet these minimum criteria, we will not be able to accept your application.
