Job Description

As part of the growth strategy in the Information Services team at Customs, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Demand Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Head of IS Operations, this new role is responsible for managing the correct consumption of specified "as a Service" (aaS) IT services from our external vendors. This help Customs meet our strategy of consuming services instead of owning assets.

As this is a newly created role you will have the opportunity to shape how the consumption of services is governed to ensure that business outcomes are met but that correct financial processes are followed.

In this role you'll be expected to work closely with our vendors to understand the products they are providing, help create the processes so that Customs can request new services or modify the quantities that we want to take, to work within Customs to challenge where necessary what we do consume to ensure that we're not wasting resources.

Sound interesting? Our ideal candidate will bring the following:
    • Experience and proven success in a similar role.
    • A sound knowledge of a business management principles and/or relevant commercial environment is required.
    • Extensive and up to date knowledge of information technology practices in respect of Demand Management.
