Job Description

 

We promote New Zealands international trade, collect Crown revenue, and enforce the law by identifying and seizing prohibited imports and exports. We also make sure that lawful travellers and items can move across our border as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

We have an opportunity for a Senior HRIS and Payroll Officer to join our HRIS and Payroll team. Our team sits within the wider HR Service Delivery team and is charged with the timely and effective delivery of high quality payroll services, reporting and analytical capability to the business.   

Combining the work of day to day payroll services with supporting the team in the capturing and management of data, this is a fantastic opportunity to deliver payroll services in a complex rostered environment. 

This role will suit an experienced person looking to further expand on their proven payroll knowledge and skills whilst bringing their strong quality focus and work ethic to the team. The successful candidate will also have experience with HR reporting and will work alongside the HR Systems and Reporting Analyst to deliver data driven reporting for Customs leadership.

As a key contact point for staff this role suits someone who is committed to delivering a high level of customer service and for ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Customs uses PayGlobal, so experience in this system is preferred.
