Systems Accountant

About our team
Our Finance Group provides critical support for MSD's business-as-usual activity and our Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme.
To strengthen how we support MSD's approximately $40 billon of funding, we are:
- putting in place new corporate platform toolsets over the next few years as our work will shift from collecting and collating financial information
- implementing modern, user friendly, efficient and effective financial management processes
- changing our ways of working to be more agile and adaptable
- focused on providing our people with training and development opportunities to grow their financial management capability, skills and experience
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Finance system professional who is familiar with Oracle Cloud. You will be an essential member of the Finance and Corporate Portfolio teams at MSD.
You will be supporting the day-to-day operations of the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Cloud solution and be instrumental in the implementation of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Cloud.
About you - Skills and experience
We are looking for someone with a '1-team, can-do' attitude, who is proactive and has a willingness to learn new skills and work across the Finance and Corporate Portfolio teams.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Be involved in system integration testing
- Co-ordinate user acceptance testing
- Lead the analysis of Oracle Quarterly (and monthly) Patch upgrades for business impacts
- Assist in functional reconciliation of migrated data
- Manage data integrity processes and controls
- Ensure the maintenance of workflows
- Lead the engagement with system users and owners
- Train and assist the business units
- Assist in the implementation of the new FMIS Release 2
Further skills and experience we are looking for:
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues across all levels
- Effective in providing advice across financial systems, including supporting and translating the needs/requirements of all teams within the Finance function and business units, documenting system change requests, conducting business analysis on systems and process improvements alongside management
- Able to identify and document areas where system inter-connectivity could be improved
- Effective in communicating system changes, upgrades to users across the Ministry
- Experience in collating and analysing data to provide meaningful advice and insights for decision making
- Strong organisational skills / juggling multiple work items and be agile in managing competing priorities to support the delivery of the Ministry's priorities
- Adaptable and be comfortable working at multiple levels to deliver objectives
- Self-starter, proactive with a high level of initiative and innovation combined with sound and mature judgement
Education and Professional Memberships
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- CAANZ qualification (or equivalent)

Position Description
Salary range: $99,546.00 - $120,778.00
