Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People has a unique mandate of having responsibility to steward change across Government, while commissioning disability support services, as well as transforming how these services are delivered.
Disabled people expected to have greater choice and control over the supports and services they receive to lead their best life. We are committed to this by strengthening relationships and working in partnership with disabled people, tāngata whaikaha Māori, Pacific disabled people and their whānau.

Senior Advisor System Design
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role:
As the Senior Advisor System Design, you will provide strategic and operational support and advice to support improvements to disability service outcomes for New Zealanders.
Contributing to the development of strategy, work programme and frameworks for the group you will engage in the vision of Whaikaha and position Whaikaha to meet current and future needs.
You will sit across various work programmes and provide innovative and purposeful senior advice on a range of areas, focusing on solving problems and achieving outcomes.
You will maintain up to date knowledge of the disability sector and understand the issues affecting disabled people.

Ko wai koe | About You:
You will be an experienced Senior Advisor and confident in developing operational process and best practice in an Operational and Service Design environment.
With a proven record of establishing, building and maintaining effective and cohesive working relationships across the Disability community and across government agencies, you will be comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders.
You will have a demonstrated ability to write to a high standard in a clear, accurate, concise way to provide advice, appropriate to the audience. an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.
To undertake this role successfully, you will be a disabled person or be able to establish credibility and trust with the disability community, as well as having empathy and an understanding of the unique and diverse experiences of disabled people.

Salary range: $102,533 - $124,402
