Job Description

The State Services Commission has opportunities available for an Assistant Analyst and Analyst to join the Strategy and Policy Group. These are permanent roles and we are happy to consider secondment opportunities. Are you are someone who:

Experience, Knowledge and skills

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience (1-2 years for Assistant Analyst and at least 2-3 years relevant experience for Analyst roles)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to present complex matters simply
  • Experience of the government environment and ability to navigate the complex policy issues to provide the best advice and solutions for Ministers
  • Strong influencing skills, able to build momentum and support for new ideas and ways of working
