Job Description

  • Work at the centre of leadership development thinking, design and delivery  
  • Work with agencies across the Public Service to deliver fantastic learning with deep impact
  • 10-month Fixed Term Contract

This role has responsibility for the coordination and planning of programmes and ensuring fantastic customer experience, including liaison with facilitators and participants.

The State Services Commission (SSC) leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.

As a business unit within the State Services Commission, LDC is the primary delivery vehicle for sector-wide leadership development.

We are looking for an experienced L&D Coordinator who is passionate about learning and development and is looking for their next fantastic opportunity.

Do you have

  • Experience coordinating and administrating learning events / workshops / programmes.
  • Ability to prioritise and use sound judgement to manage competing priorities.
  • Initiative and self-motivation to be proactive.
  • Passion for leadership development and/or learning & development.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of, or interest in learning about the public service and context for senior leadership within the public service.
  • Experience using a project management approach to achieve business outcomes.

This role is Wellington based and a 10-month fixed-term role.  We are happy to consider this role for an interdepartmental secondment.  Part time and flexible work arrangements will be considered.
