Unleashing the power of data to change lives

Here at Stats NZ, we are looking for an experienced trainer with experience creating content to join our Auckland team. We're a small team looking to achieve a lot in the time ahead.

The role will require working with a variety of survey collection teams. We use a variety of tools and platforms. This role is a blended position requiring strong facilitation ability, instructional design basics, and some knowledgebase management.

The teams we support work on the phones, through the mail, and go door to door - our learners' needs are fairly diverse.

Finding creative and functional solutions for engaging people and teams is really important.

The key competencies required in the role are:

  • Online learning creation and management
  • Instructional design and content development
  • Relationship management
  • Facilitation

Since our team is all over the country, travel is sometimes required.

  • You have practical experience as a trainer or instructor working with adults
  • You are comfortable with what the role is all about
  • You are confident giving new tools and technology a try
  • You also think that it's pretty great that we're all going to be changing lives together

Nice things we have:

Regular one on ones. Ongoing development. Creative control on training projects. Great team to work with. Kiwisaver. Wellbeing grant. Discount on group health insurance. Social club. Excellent environment in Central Auckland.

Training tools we use:

  • Articulate Storyline & Rise
  • Camtasia
  • Totara Learning Management System (Moodle skills are transferable)
  • Camcorders
  • Skype for Webinars
  • Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce Knowledgebase

Complete your application by following the link. Fill everything out and it will go to the leader of the collection operations training team.

You must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Applications close at 11.59pm on Tuesday, 27 February 2018.
