Senior Information Governance Advisor – Fixed Term/Secondment to June 2025
2 x Full time, Fixed Term/Secondment positions
Location: National Office, Wellington or other location for the right person
We are seeking passionate and experienced Senior Information Governance Advisors to join our Organisational Assurance workstream, which supports the implementation of MSD's transformation programme, Te Pae Tawhiti.
The Organisational Assurance workstream is part of Organisational Assurance and Communication (OAC) Business Unit, and you will specifically work alongside the Information, Security, and Identity Group (ISI), which is one of the largest Information Groups in central government. ISI offers support and advice for MSD across Information Management, Security, and Privacy domains.
What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in giving life to Tiaki, our Enterprise Information Governance Framework, and related capabilities, that our Transformation Programme will use to support its delivery.
You'll be involved in the development and design of the practices, standards and tools to support effective Information Governance and associated capabilities that ensure MSD continues to be a responsible steward and custodian of client, partner and staff information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and practical implementation of Tiaki, MSD's Information Governance Framework
- Support the delivery and practical implementation of capabilities that provide information-centric guardrails for the Transformation Programme and across MSD
- Support a best-practice approach to implementation of these capabilities, working closely with ISI and Information, Data and Analytics teams
What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū
To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
- A robust understanding and practical experience of Information Governance Frameworks
- Experience with Information Management, Information Security and Privacy frameworks, policies, assurance and / or assessment tools and operational processes
- Understanding of risk management and risk frameworks, in particular as it applies to Information Governance and operations
- Ability to develop policies, frameworks, tools, and training materials to promote a culture of strong information governance and responsible information use
- A proven track record of successfully engaging with and providing advice on complex, strategic or emergent issues
- A willingness to embed Te Ao Māori into MSD's business practices and build capability for engaging with whānau, hapū, and iwi

Salary range: $118,401.00 - $143,797.00
