About our team | Mō te tīma:

The Disability Support Services (DSS) Group is responsible for commissioning, funding, and stewarding high-quality services that support disabled people, their families, and whānau.

We're building leadership and management capacity across our teams to deliver both change and business-as-usual effectively.

We work closely with providers, stakeholders, and communities to ensure services are fair, consistent, transparent and sustainable. With a strong focus on performance monitoring, data, and insights, we're committed to continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

About the role | Mō te tūnga:

We're looking for a proactive and organised Team Administrator to join our Disability Support Services Taskforce in a fixed term role ending 27 June 2026.

These roles provide high-quality administrative support across core business and projects.

This fixed term opportunity is based in Wellington.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Taskforce senior leaders with email and calendar management
  • Delivering efficient and timely administrative support of core business functions across the team
  • Assisting with invoice processing, and project coordination
  • Organising meetings, workshops, and events—including accessibility arrangements
  • Providing facilities and stakeholder engagement support
  • Embedding a culture of genuine accessibility across all team activities

What you bring | Ōu pūmanawatanga:

  • Previous experience providing high level administrative support.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of applications.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Adaptability and the ability to effectively prioritise and schedule your work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience building effective relationships both within the Ministry and with outside agencies.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau: $61,466.00 - $73,903.00
