About the role
As an Advisor Web and System Administrator (Kaitohutohu), you'll be a core member of Te Kawa Mataaho's Digital Services team, supporting the Chief Information Officer. Your work will focus on providing high-quality system administration, web content support, and application advice across a range of our websites. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to develop and publish content that meets required standards, and use data and analytics to help shape our online presence. This role is central to delivering effective digital support and troubleshooting, ensuring our environment remains simple, flexible, and agile. You'll be the hands-on assurance for our customers, combining technical expertise with a friendly, can-do attitude and a collaborative approach.

Key responsibilities include:
As Advisor Web and System Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management, continuous improvement, and seamless operation of our digital platforms and web services, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes that support Te Kawa Mataaho's mission. Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Provide advice on publishing web content and best practice in web administration
- Coordinate updates of website content and edit pages with input from content owners
- including preparing HTML content and PDF files for upload, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting
- Identify and resolve website issues, perform functional testing, and ensure timely resolution
- Proactively ensure online content is accurate, up-to-date, and adheres to Te Kawa Mataaho's standards and NZ Government Accessibility and Web Usability Standards, including performing quality checks on website content (e.g., broken links, outdated content)
- Maintain websites with consistent patching and security considerations
- Maintain a backlog of future enhancements and encourage incremental improvement and manage the delivery via our vendors
- Use analytics and search keyword data to recommend improvements to content structure, information architecture, and metadata
- Manage server/hosting duties (backups, uptime, SSL, domain management)
- Engage with stakeholders to understand problems and extract relevant information

Salary
The full salary range for the band is $80,495 to $106,758. We typically look to appoint to role between $80,495 to $98,718, depending on skills and experience.
