We are seeking a new Portfolio Manager to join our team here in Wellington. The Health Sector Services team ensure that our clients have access to appropriate health and rehabilitation services where and when they need them.

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our team here in Wellington. The Health Sector Services team ensure that our Clients have access to appropriate health and rehabilitation services where and when they need them.

To succeed in this role, you will be a problem solver, a team player, and critical thinker with an ability to analyse and advise on the services within your portfolio. Working as part of an essential team within ACC, each day will bring different challenges and opportunities. Previous experience in health purchasing and portfolio management would be useful but is not essential.

Key responsibilities of the role and what you need to be successful:

  • Key resident subject matter expert (sitting alongside Portfolio Advisors) on contractual requirements, structure, capability and capacity of the health workforce areas for which they are responsible
  • Forming collaborative partnerships to maintain an understanding of ACC's client, business and service needs along with the wider supply market
  • Responsible for portfolio management and providing reporting on portfolio spend, including performance monitoring, financial reporting and risk management, and benchmarking services against local and international results where relevant
  • Contributing to the work of other Provider Service Delivery teams including: strategy, design and scoping, prioritisation and planning ensuring that portfolio insights and sector intelligence are considered
  • Being responsible for the operational implementation of service changes resulting from strategic projects in line with the ACC Health Services Strategy
  • Work with teams internal to ACC as well as developing strong relationships with other government agencies, professional bodies and service providers
