Job Description

Do you want to help drive an ambitious programme to define and build our reputation?

It's a time of change at the Ministry of Transport. Following in-depth consultation both internally and with key transport partners we have landed a fresh new design and vision to help us take a greater leadership role in the transport sector.

Transport impacts everyone and MoT is the policy engine room, advising how transport can enable New Zealanders to flourish, whether charting the future of driverless cars or contributing to sustainable urban and regional development.

Partnering with our senior leadership and other managers you will provide strategic and operational advice to help us make the step change in our reputation that we are aspiring to. You will be seasoned in developing and delivering organisational reputation strategies and ready to hit the ground running. You will also play a key role as a mentor and leader to the Engagement and Communications Team.

Our new values are Invested, Bold and Collaborative. Not only will you be comfortable with them, you'll embrace and personify them.

Reporting to the Manager of Engagement and Communications, this is a fantastic opportunity to have an organisation-wide impact by helping to lift engagement and communications across the Ministry and the transport sector. It offers variety and challenge, not to mention the chance to achieve real results in your career. So, if you're looking for a way to put your talents to best use, apply today.
