About the role
As a Gazette Officer working within the New Zealand Gazette team you'll bring exceptional editing, publishing and time management skills to the role. The New Zealand Gazette (gazette.govt.nz) is the official journal of constitutional record of the New Zealand Government and is a fully online publication.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- can bring proven editing and proofing experience to help us deliver a high-quality online service to our customers
- has a high attention to detail
- is confident working to tight deadlines and able to manage varying workloads
- has experience in HTML formatting
- has a naturally collaborative team working style
- has a degree or relevant experience
- Preparing, proofing and publishing Gazette notices
- Ensuring notices are accurate, error-free and consistent to style
- Proactively working to ensure timelines and publishing deadlines are met
Key responsibilities include:
To be successful in this role you'll be highly skilled in editing, proofing, and meeting deadlines. This role will give you a unique insight into government and commercial processes and publishing official information.

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.
This position sits within the Government Digital Services Delivery group in the Government Digital Delivery Agency of Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission, which delivers and manages shared digital and ICT services across the New Zealand public sector and to the public. The group provides a range of common digital services including the New Zealand Gazette, Govt.nz, and jobs.govt.nz, and infrastructure and procurement solutions for agencies.

Salary
The full salary range for the band is $62,947 - $78,334.
