Job Description

Are you an experienced administration manager looking for a new challenge?  Would you like to be part of the team representing New Zealand overseas?  We are looking for an experienced people manager to lead the busy and varied administrative support of the New Zealand Embassy in Beijing. 

The Administration Manager is a leadership role within the Embassy responsible for providing post management with advice and guidance in all aspects of the post's operations.  The position has eight direct reports and also provides comprehensive support, advice and training to operations on a regional basis. The ability to provide leadership and deliver results in a collaborative manner is essential to this role, as is the ability to work effectively across cultures.

For the right person, this role will provide a rewarding experience across a range of tasks and challenges. 

This position is fixed term for a period of 3 years and the appointee would be expected to start in Beijing in July 2018 although a period of training would be provided in Wellington prior to departure. 

The successful appointee would need to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.  Terms and conditions cover flights, allowances, accommodation, medical and travel insurance.
