Promoting a confident and connected culture

New Year, New Opportunity!

Would you like to work as part of an agile, collaborative and energetic Ministry in a central Wellington location?

About the role

Manatū Taonga – the Ministry for Culture and Heritage – is a small Ministry with a big heart and a broad reach across New Zealand. We pride ourselves on our agility and our open, collaborative and supportive culture and high levels of engagement.

We are looking for:

  • A mature, confident and clear communicator, with an eye for detail;
  • Strong email and diary management, with great organisational and time management skills;
  • The ability to prioritise work, juggle demands, and above all a can-do attitude;
  • A team player, flexible, and if you have a few project coordination skills, even better!

This full-time position would suit an experienced administrator familiar with supporting committees or Boards, preferably in the public sector. You will be reporting to the Manager, Policy (Arts & Media), and will play an integral part in providing administrative support to a Ministerial Advisory Group.

About us

Our purpose is to promote a confident and connected culture.  Our work is diverse – we support many of the arts, media, heritage and sports organisations of Aotearoa; we also advise government on cultural matters and provide historical and heritage resources for everyone to access. The organisations we fund deliver a range of cultural experiences for all of us to learn from, appreciate and enjoy.
