Job Description

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade (MFAT) is New Zealand's lead for international relationships, focused on making New Zealanders safer and more prosperous. 

MFAT has around 1400 staff, and is unique in that over half its team is based offshore. Given this structure, its human resources team is always looking ahead to how best provide appropriate HR policy, strategy and functions across the organisation to meet the distinctive challenges they face.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Process Analyst to provide centralised oversight, support and advice across corporate policy, processes and standards.  This will involve working across the breadth of the organisation with Senior Manager to support them through the review, approval and publishing process.  This will entail answering operational/corporate policy related queries and keeping the document register current.  This person will be able to identify the implications of a change in policy and what that means in respect to the framework, model and process related documentation.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • 3-5 years business process analysis experience with experience reviewing and developing corporate operational policy
  • excellent relationship and stakeholder engagement skills
  • sound process design principles
