Job Description

Over the last 12 months the Ministry has made great progress on refreshing our Strategic Framework, launching new Values, resetting ‘Our People Goal' and implementing a new Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.   We are now in the delivery phase and are looking for someone who shares our passion to make things happen.

Reporting to Principal Capability Adviser (PCA) and splitting your time between the PCA team and the Human Resources Group, you will be an experienced communications practitioner who is comfortable managing multiple projects for multiple stakeholders.

For the PCA team, your work will be focused on the implementation and communication of our Diversity and Inclusion strategy, which is an ambitious 10 year programme of work.  MFAT is striving to be a workplace that is recognised as truly valuing and embracing diverse  thinking, people and behaviours.

For our HRG group you will be focusing on the Ministry's ‘Our People Goal' initiatives as a key part of organisational improvement, which builds on the Ministry's 2017 People Strategy.

You don't need to be a Diversity and Inclusion or Human Resource expert, as you'll work with the experts in these areas.  You will be an expert in the design, development and production of communication material to support these workstreams.  You will ensure the work aligns with the Ministry's Internal Communication Strategy co-ordinated by the Ministry's Communications Division.

The initial requirement is for nine months on a fixed-term basis until December 2019.
