The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is seeking a Programme Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing for a 6 month fixed-term appointment, based in Wellington.

This is a great opportunity for a health, safety and wellbeing champion to work across a range of work streams in a complex multinational environment, and contribute significantly to our goal for a happy, healthy and high performing Ministry.

The Programme Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of health, safety, and wellbeing programmes of projects to designed to meet the Ministry's statutory obligations in accordance with best practice, employment laws and government public service employment objectives.  To be successful, they will take an enterprise-level view across the programmes and projects, working with other Groups and stakeholders as necessary to manage, mitigate, and escalate risks, issues, and interdependencies.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in delivering successful programmes of health and safety projects, within a complex multinational operating environment, and be able to demonstrate strong relationship management, influencing and negotiating skills.  They will also bring good practice management, quality assurance processes, effective and efficient resource allocation and programme risk management to deliver the programmes on time and within budget.

You must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate NZ Government Security clearance.
