Job Description

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade (MFAT) is New Zealand's lead for international relationships, focused on making New Zealanders safer and more prosperous.

MFAT has around 1400 staff, and is unique in that over half its team is based offshore. Given this structure, its human resources team is always looking ahead to how best provide appropriate HR policy, strategyand functions across the organisation to meet the distinctive challenges they face.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will ensure that MFAT's Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is meeting the needs of the organisation. This will include end-to-end management, enhancements and management of its test and production environments.

You will possess a good understanding of contemporary HRIS systems, with a strong technical capability. Payroll system experience would be highly beneficial, as would experience in compiling business process documentation.

Balanced against your technical competence, you will also be an able communicator with experience delivering training and supporting end users. You will be able to influence across the payroll and HR teams, and be highly organised.

This is a two-year fixed term opportunity based in Wellington. You must have the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate New Zealand Government security clearance.
