Job Description

What you will do

  • Ensure the development of high quality and timely strategic policy advice and the delivery of outcomes on matters relating to New Zealand's regional engagement in the Pacific, with a focus on geopolitics and security aspects.
  • Deliver, with other members of the PACREG leadership team, the Pacific Regional four-year plan.
  • Lead and motivate a high performing team.

What we need

  • Be an inclusive leader, modelling the Ministry's values in all you do;
  • A demonstrated ability to think strategically;
  • A proven track record of delivery; and
  • An ability to build effective relationships across the Ministry, with Ministers, with the public sector, and with counterparts across a diverse range of countries and regional organisations.
