Job Description

We are looking for a great Business Analyst to join the Ministry's Pacific and Development Group (PDG) who are responsible for the delivery of the New Zealand Aid Programme in the Pacific and globally.

This Business Analyst will be working specifically within the Development Capability and Insights Division (DCI) to refine the operating model, participate in business improvement projects, and will take responsibility for business process and system improvements.

The Business Analyst role is responsible for managing and maintaining the Ministry's Enquire aid management system.

You will need to have demonstrated skills in:

  • communicating requirements from a business perspective orally as well as in written form
  • problem solving and taking a user orientated approach
  • applying your knowledge of technology based solutions to meet business needs, strategic planning, cost benefit analysis and project management methodologies
  • undertaking analysis at the various stages of a software development lifecycle.  

Your experience will be:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a business analyst or consultant with at least 3 years working with enterprise systems.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  • Data modelling, analysis and report writing
  • Proven ability to gather and interpret information to make recommendations and inform insight

Candidates must also have NZ citizenship or permanent residency and be able to obtain NZ Government security clearance to be considered for this role.
