Parliamentary Service has an exciting opportunity for talented and passionate Engineers to provide technology support to Parliamentary staff and customers, including Members of Parliament, Ministers and other Parliamentary agencies.

Working within a unique and rapidly changing environment, you will be part of the go-to team for all IT support requests across the Parliamentary precinct, meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. You will thrive on finding solutions and working in a fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting users with any logged IST-related incidents
  • Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents, including operating system (Windows 10) and across a range of software applications
  • Taking ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible
  • Installing and configuring new IT equipment
  • Providing services that are highly responsive, effective and customer focused.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • previous experience in a desktop support role, preferably in a large and complex organisation 
  • a Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a level two to three role 
  • experience supporting Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems including Windows 10 
  • experience and versatility in a broad range of Microsoft Office and M365 applications and technologies, including Outlook 
  • experience with iOS and Android mobile operating systems 
  • knowledge of networking, Wi-Fi, VPN's, switching and routing.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills and be a strong team player.

Please note that there will be occasional shifts rostered till 11pm on sitting days - Tuesday to Thursday.
