Working within a unique and rapidly changing environment, Parliamentary Service has an exciting opportunity for talented and passionate IT Professional to lead a team of desk-side support Engineers providing technology support to Parliamentary staff and customers, including Members of Parliament, Ministers and other Parliamentary agencies.

Managing a team of eight specialists, you will be responsible for providing customer focused and effective IST services when responding to incidents and support requests, as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands.

Additional responsibilities will include the following:

  • Managing all aspects of Parliamentary Precinct on-site stock management
  • People management of all team members including workload management, objective setting, performance development, training plans and personal development
  • Provide reporting to senior managers regarding any issue that could significantly impact the business of Parliament

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or a minimum of ITIL Foundation certification
  • ideally a minimum of three years' experience in a Senior Team Leader Desktop role in a large and complex organisation
  • proven experience in team resource management including shift and on-call rostering
  • a passion for people leadership, coaching and development and the ability to drive team engagement
  • experience using and configuring processes within a modern IT Service Management tool
  • experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office and M365 applications and technologies, including Outlook.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential in this role along with demonstrated experience in working within, developing, and leading customer-service focused teams and environments.
