HOSPITALITY CREW - TROLLEY SERVICE (PARLIAMENT) at Te Papa, Wellington - Wairarapa

Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building housing the treasures of the nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors.
Te Papa is seeking a full time crew member to take care of our trolley service operation based at Parliament Buildings. You need to be self-motivated and organised, enjoying the pace and challenge of this part of the operation. You would work in the room service department preparing, delivering and organising the catering throughout the Parliament buildings. This includes managing set-ups and inventory of goods, and in-house functions as and when required.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in customer service in a busy, high volume catering operation
- The ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute to team building
- A demonstrated ability to plan and deliver to agreed standards
- A high level of personal presentation
- An ability to provide information clearly and accurately, using language that is easily understood
- The ability to actively listen, understand and act upon messages and instructions
- A high level of time management
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Although the role is predominately Monday to Friday, we operate 7 days a week and therefore your flexibility to work over a 7 day roster including Public Holidays and weekend work are essential criteria for suitability.
The role is fixed term until December 2022 which is within the duration of the arrangement that Te Papa has with Parliamentary Services.

The salary range for this position is $47,450 to $48,180. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.

Appointment to a position at Te Papa will require the production of evidence, prior to the commencement of work, of a “MY Vaccine Pass' issued by the Ministry of Health.
